To reduce costs, many large companies
have already moved part or all of their
production and procurement to Low Cost Countries
(LCC). That’s why they can offer ‘everyday
low price’ - Wal-Mart purchased $25
billion worth of goods from China in 2004.
Wal-Mart is not alone, today, 20% of US
imported goods are sourced from China, the
hub of world low-cost manufactures. |
With more than 1.3 billion people, China
is also an attractive consumer marketplace
to the world. The country accounts for 23
percent of all televisions sold in the world,
20 percent of all cell phones and 18 percent
of all washing machines. More
